Beca is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join its Industrial team in South Auckland. You will lead capital projects and equipment upgrades across a live manufacturing environment to boost plant performance, safety and reliability.

You will drive projects from concept through procurement, installation and commissioning, coordinating with operations, contractors and suppliers for successful handover and long-term value.

• Lead safe installation and commissioning activities in brownfield environments while maintaining operational continuity.

We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Industrial team and deliver projects within one of New Zealand's largest and most complex heavy manufacturing environments. Based in SouthAuckland, you'll lead capital projects and equipment upgrades that improve plant performance, safety and operational reliability.

In this role, you'll lead projects through the full lifecycle, from concept development and equipment specification through to procurement, installation and commissioning. Working closely with stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and operational teams, you'll deliver practical engineering solutions that improve plant performance and operational effectiveness.

Y ou’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of capital, reliability, maintenance, safety and operational improvement initiatives. Working within one of Aotearoa's largest and most complex industrial manufacturing facilities, you'll work with advanced manufacturing technologies, large-scale mechanical systems, and critical production assets that support one of New Zealand 's most significant industrial operations.

You’ll bring:

• A Mechanical Engineering qualification and experience delivering capital projects within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Experience managing brownfield installations with a focus on health, safety and operational risk management
• Eligibility to work in NewZealand
