Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator on a fixed-term 12-month assignment based in Wellington to support the Frontline Technology Systems Upgrade programme. The role spans technology and business change, providing coordination, governance, planning, reporting and financial administration across the TPE workstream.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in project coordination or project delivery.
• Experience supporting technology, digital transformation or organisational change initiatives.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience maintaining delivery plans, RAID registers, governance docs, action logs and budgets.
• Experience supporting governance forums and executive decision documentation.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and dependency management.
• Stellar relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience across technical and business change workstreams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Planner.
• Understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination support across TPE workstream within FTSU.
• Drive delivery activities, governance, planning, reporting and financial administration.
• Identify issues early and take ownership with minimal direction.
• Support governance forums and track actions.
• Collaborate across technical and business change initiatives.
• Engage with senior leaders and manage stakeholder expectations.
