Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of conceptual and detailed process designs for new chemical plants and upgrades, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing.
• Perform process simulations and calculations using industry-standard software to optimize designs for efficiency, safety, and cost.
• Conduct feasibility studies, hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, and risk assessments.
• Develop technical specifications for process equipment and instrumentation.
• Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
• Mentor junior process engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and design standards.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and regulatory requirements affecting process design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process design engineering, with a significant focus on industrial chemical facilities.
• Extensive experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, Chemcad) and CAD tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and control philosophies.
• Strong understanding of process safety principles, including HAZOP analysis and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
