Job summary

Stratford District Council in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning and asset management for water, wastewater and stormwater across the Stratford District. You will provide technical leadership across strategic planning, asset management, infrastructure modelling and project development.

You will drive capital planning, develop long term frameworks and ensure resilient, compliant services through strong stakeholder collaboration and a commitment to community

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in engineering, planning, asset management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in infrastructure planning, asset management or engineering.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and review of water services strategies, asset management plans and long term planning frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership on asset performance, levels of service, growth, resilience, risk and investment priorities.
• Coordinate capital planning, business cases and project development activities to support future infrastructure investment.
