Job summary

WSP NZ invites a Senior Technical Principal to lead its Water Asset Management practice in Auckland. You will guide asset management strategy, planning, and lifecycle services, helping clients improve resilience, investment planning and regulatory readiness.

You will build trusted advisor relationships with water sector clients, drive business development, and contribute to thought leadership to strengthen WSP’s market profile in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ professional experience in asset management, water services, utilities and/or advisory consulting.
• Demonstrated experience in water supply and/or wastewater asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001 and asset management system thinking.
• Understanding of New Zealand water sector drivers, reform and information disclosure requirements.
• Proven ability to work with clients, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead water asset management services across strategy, planning, lifecycle management, investment, risk, resilience, performance and asset information.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with water sector clients and regulated suppliers, support business development, and contribute to thought leadership that strengthens WSP’s market profile.
