Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Water to join our Queenstown office. You will lead major water infrastructure projects, deliver quality designs on time and within budget, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

You will bring a Civil Engineering degree and substantial experience in drinking water, wastewater, or stormwater projects, with strong communication and client engagement skills to support growth across NZ and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years relevant experience desirable, preferably in water infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Great time management and prioritization skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Resilience and agility.

Responsibilities

• Lead on assigned projects to deliver outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards.
• Determine client requirements, conduct site surveys and investigations, produce calculations, cost estimates, specifications and drawings.
• Organise tender documents, evaluate tenders and contracts.
• Develop and mentor junior staff.
• Liaise with clients to ensure expectations are met and concerns addressed.
• Undertake business development and identify opportunities for Stantec.
• Produce quality project outputs with properly resourced design work.
