Job summary

PayPlus is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Auckland team. You will design, develop and maintain software applications and payment systems, ensuring security, reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities include integration with EFTPOS, POS, vending, booking platforms, and payment gateways, plus collaboration with partners and internal teams to deliver secure payment solutions.

Qualifications

• The position requires tertiary study or relevant work experience in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Automation and Control, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Candidates should demonstrate fault-finding ability with industrial control systems and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, maintain and repair electronic instruments and control systems in production machinery.
• Diagnose faults by examining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Test and troubleshoot controllers, sensors, switches and drives in automated equipment.
• Maintain PLC-controlled and CNC-controlled machinery and perform preventive maintenance.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and service providers for technical support and parts.
