Job summary

PayPlus in Auckland is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate and improve our payment software and systems. You will own the implementation of secure, scalable software supporting payment processing and third-party integrations across EFTPOS, POS, vending machines, booking platforms, and e-commerce gateways.

You will work with APIs, web services and data structures, ensuring robust deployment, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

Strong experience in APIs, web services and third-party system integrations.
Bachelor's or higher in CS/SE or related field.
Experience with software testing, debugging and production fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

Design software architecture, application components, workflows, interfaces and data structures.
Develop scalable, maintainable software components for payment processing and merchant integrations.
Build and maintain integrations with external providers, EFTPOS terminals, POS systems, e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and API/integration documentation.
Ensure security, reliability, and performance of PayPlus software and payment systems.
