Job summary

Te Matauru Primary School is seeking a passionate educator to lead our Phase 3 cohort as a Phase Leader (1MU) and to oversee a whānau class. The role requires data-informed practice, collaboration across staff, and a commitment to cultural competence.

We value Te Reo Māori and Te Ao Māori awareness, and you will coordinate EOTC events, engage families, and support inclusive practices within our school community.

• Strong cultural competence and Te Reo Māori knowledge a plus.

Te Matauru Primary School is seeking a passionate, highly motivated and committed educator to lead our diverse school community. The position is for a Phase Leader to lead our Phase 3 cohort. The successful candidate will also be responsible for a whānau class.

The key responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Data analysis (assessment)
• Target review of strategic goals
• Planning checkpoints other specific needs
• Planning for student needs
• Calendar of event planning
• Reporting to parents
• Pastoral lead for the phase level
• Organisation of relievers
• Lead EOTC events within the Phase

We are looking for an experienced educator who can bring knowledge and skills in collaboration, neurodiversity and cultural competence. Experience in Te Reo Māori and Te Ao Māori would be advantageous.
