Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Hawke's Bay is seeking an Operational Commissioning Lead to guide clinical service readiness within the Regional Hospital Redevelopment Programme. You will align clinical input with infrastructure delivery, manage change, training and resourcing across the project lifecycle.

You will engage clinical networks and senior leaders, oversee risks, and ensure delivery remains patient-centered, equitable and future-focused, with a strong track record in health

Qualifications

• At least five years' senior leadership experience supporting clinical transformation or health infrastructure projects with a capital value of more than $100 million.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand health sector and/or health design.
• A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in health leadership and management, healthcare administration or a related discipline.
• Project management certification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience leading complex commissioning, workforce transition, migration or operational readiness activity.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning across the project lifecycle in Hawke's Bay.
• Oversee workforce transition and migration planning.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to senior leaders and governance groups.
• Maintain oversight of risks and dependencies and establish measures to track benefits and outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams and infrastructure partners to align delivery with national direction.
