Job summary

Te Whatu Ora Bay of Plenty is seeking a Project Operational Readiness Lead to guide operational, clinical and workforce workstreams for major health infrastructure projects. You will translate approved business cases into practical service and workforce solutions and oversee transition activities across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• At least five years' senior leadership experience in clinical transformation or health infrastructure projects >$100M.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand health sector and/or health design.
• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in health leadership and management.
• Project management certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading commissioning, workforce transition, migration or operational readiness activity.
• Ability to engage credibly with clinical leaders and networks.
• Experience aligning local delivery with national strategy, policy and standards.
• Strong financial management and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across operational, clinical and workforce workstreams to deliver major health infrastructure projects.
• Ensure new facilities and services are ready to operate, translating business cases into practical solutions.
• Lead commissioning, workforce transition and migration planning across the project lifecycle.
• Provide strategic advice and clear reporting to senior leaders and governance groups.
• Maintain oversight of risks and dependencies and track benefits and outcomes.
