Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau seeks a senior Project Lead to drive operational commissioning for a major health infrastructure project. You will translate the approved business case into practical service and workforce solutions, ensuring the facility is ready to deliver its new models of care.

You will lead commissioning, workforce transition and migration planning, with input from clinical and operational leaders and governance groups.

Qualifications

At least five years leadership experience in clinical transformation or health infra projects over $100M.
Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in health leadership and management or healthcare administration.
Project management certification or equivalent experience with change management knowledge.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand health sector and ability to engage senior clinical leaders and governance groups.
Proven experience managing complex risks, competing priorities, budgets, and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across clinical, operational and workforce workstreams for Project Pihi Kaha.
Translate business case into practical service and operational solutions for the new facility.
Lead commissioning, workforce transition, migration planning, and change management activities.
Provide high-quality strategic advice and reporting to senior leadership and project governance groups.
