Job summary

Talent International in Auckland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a large enterprise on a contract basis, delivering across a major modernisation programme in a Microsoft environment focused on .NET, Azure, APIs, CI/CD and DevSecOps.

The role is based in Auckland CBD with hybrid working options, and involves working across design, development, deployment and support to uplift engineering standards and delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering applications and APIs using C# / .NET / .NET Core in complex enterprise environments.
• Practical experience modernising applications or APIs using Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native services and API gateways.
• Experience across CI/CD, code quality, application security and modern software-engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering scalable C# / .NET APIs.
• Driving API modernisation and greater adoption of Microsoft Azure.
• Improving existing applications, integrations and engineering practices.
• Identifying and reducing technical debt and unnecessary system coupling.
• Helping introduce and embed modern engineering standards and best practices.
• Working across the full SDLC from design and development through to deployment and support.
• Contributing to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Improving code quality, security and maintainability.
• Working closely with Product, Architecture and business stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
