Job summary

Randstad Digital New Zealand is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and modernise a high-availability platform delivering essential public services. You will drive cloud platform engineering, pro-code development, and vendor integrations while establishing best practices across the team.

The role requires hands-on execution and strategic leadership, including designing robust CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and secure cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or similar.
• Experience in 24/7 enterprise PaaS environments, with strong security and monitoring.
• Proven ability to lead cloud platform engineering and vendor engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure platform engineering and infrastructure provisioning.
• Design and maintain CI/CD, automation tooling, and IaC solutions.
• Deliver high-availability integration architecture and API designs.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and incident detection using cloud-native tools.
• Drive platform reliability, security best practices, and cost governance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor peer engineers.
