Job summary

EverCommerce is seeking a Lead Mobile Platform Engineer to own and shape the iOS and Android platforms within Timely, a SalonBiz/EverCommerce vertical. This senior, hands-on role offers ownership of mobile architecture, setting standards, tackling technical debt, and partnering with product teams to deliver reliable apps.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and ensure performance, security, and maintainability across platforms while contributing to a culture of inclusion

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on mobile engineering experience across iOS and Android.
• Experience leading technical projects and influencing architecture and engineering decisions.
• A solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, performance, reliability and security.
• The ability to spot technical challenges, prioritise improvements and find practical solutions.
• Confidence working across engineering and product teams, bringing people together to get things done.
• Great communication skills and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
• A passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring others and continuously improving how things are done.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape the technical direction of our iOS and Android mobile platforms.
• Lead improvements to our mobile architecture, engineering standards and development practices.
• Tackle technical debt and platform challenges to make our apps faster, more reliable and easier to maintain.
• Work closely with our mobile and product teams to improve how we build, test and release software.
• Balance platform improvements with product delivery, helping teams move quickly without compromising quality.
• Share your knowledge, guide technical decisions and help our mobile engineers grow.
• Support critical mobile infrastructure, security and dependency updates across SalonBiz when needed.
