Job summary

EverCommerce in New Zealand seeks a Platform Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Development and Database Reliability Engineering teams. You will shape the technical roadmap, guide architecture, and ensure secure, scalable systems for our global customer base.

You will mentor engineers, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and drive automation and observability initiatives to improve reliability and delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software/Platform teams in SaaS/tech environments.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and people development skills.
• Experience shaping technical strategy and long-term roadmaps.
• Knowledge of DevOps, observability, security and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Platform Development and DRE teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Shape architecture and technical roadmap with stakeholders.
• Improve tools, processes and platforms used by product/engineering teams.
• Oversee database engineering to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Drive monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery and performance improvements.
• Support quarterly planning and cross-functional collaboration with Kanban/Jira.
