Job summary

Consumer Retail Group in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to shape and deliver marketing across a large portfolio of consumer brands, aligning investment with commercial priorities.

You will lead a small internal team and work closely with sales and operational stakeholders across brand strategy, digital acquisition, social media, video content, websites, campaigns, launches, sponsorships and events, while managing budgets, agency partners and marketing performance.

Qualifications

• Significant in-house marketing management and delivery experience.
• Proven responsibility for marketing across a large multi-brand portfolio.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and prioritising investment across different brands.
• Strong stakeholder management across sales, commercial and operational teams.
• Broad capability across brand, digital, social media, content and customer acquisition.
• Excellent social media knowledge and a strong understanding of engaging video content.
• Experience leading and developing a small marketing team.
• Confidence managing creative, media and specialist agency partners.
• The ability to contribute effectively as part of a senior leadership team.
• Experience gained within consumer retail, a multi-site business or another fast-moving customer-led environment.

The role:

This senior leadership role will shape and deliver marketing across a large portfolio of consumer brands, ensuring investment is aligned with the group’s commercial priorities. As part of the senior leadership team, you will lead a small internal team and work closely with sales and operational stakeholders across brand strategy, digital acquisition, social media, video content, websites, campaigns, launches, sponsorships and events, while managing budgets, agency partners and marketing performance.

You will be a commercially astute marketing leader who builds credibility quickly, works collaboratively and brings solutions to the table. You should be equally comfortable setting the direction and getting personally involved in delivery when required.
