Job summary

CMA CGM is seeking a Senior Logistics Supervisor in Auckland, New Zealand, to lead national container depot operations and improve efficiency across the group’s NZ fleet. You will manage stock, coordinate movements, and drive cost controls while ensuring KPI performance and effective stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in logistics or related field and 3–5 years’ experience in shipping or logistics, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in shipping, logistics or operations.
• Strong analytical and technical capability, including Excel and computing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Manage national container depot operations, monitoring equipment stock against bookings and forecast requirements.
• Coordinate transport and repositioning to improve equipment availability and efficiency.
• Oversee depot, terminal and maintenance activities to expedite container availability and maintain KPIs.
• Monitor container movements and operational data (EDI movements, vessel load activity, delivery orders, weekly idle reporting).
• Drive cost control and operational improvement by reviewing logistics expenditure and approving invoices.
• Support team performance through training, reporting, and adherence to Group policies.
