Job summary

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is recruiting a Senior Analyst to join the Licensing and Authorisations team as it implements the new Deposit Takers Act. This permanent role focuses on developing licensing capabilities for deposit takers within a transforming regulatory environment.

You will analyse regulatory frameworks, document business requirements, and contribute to risk identification and process improvements to support a robust licensing regime.

Qualifications

• Broad-based experience in a bank, insurer or other financial institution or supervisory authority.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and regulatory decision-making.
• Experience in continuous improvement, business analysis and/or project management.
• An understanding of regulatory frameworks and regulatory decision-making.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and conceptual skills and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Deposit Takers Act working with the Manager Licensing & Authorisations and the Advisers in Licensing & Authorisations to develop products and outputs required to establish a new and functioning licensing capability.
• Identify and analyse business process and workflows to identify new ways of licensing regulated entities and areas for improvement.
• Develop and document business requirements for projects and operational process improvement activities.
• Proactive identification and reporting of risks and issues.
