Job summary

Potentia is seeking a Software Developer with strong modern Java experience to join our SaaS product team in Wellington. You will build and evolve a cloud-based platform used by thousands of businesses across New Zealand and Australia, focusing on secure and scalable backend services.

Work with Java 21+ , Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and AWS to deliver features, improvements and the ongoing evolution of a successful SaaS platform in an office-based role in Wellington.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience, focusing on backend systems and APIs using Java and Spring.
• Experience with building cloud-based SaaS platforms and RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of secure, maintainable code in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend components and APIs using Java 21 or newer and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to a cloud-based platform used by thousands of businesses in NZ and AU.
• Collaborate in an agile environment to deliver product features and improvements.
