Job summary

iPayroll, a New Zealand leader in cloud-based payroll solutions, is seeking a skilled Software Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our Technology team in Wellington. You will develop mission-critical systems and APIs at scale using Java/Spring, RESTful services, and modern web technologies.

Applicants should have strong AWS experience, frontend capabilities including React, and familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Over five years or equivalent experience in developing mission critical systems and APIs at scale.
• Solid back-end Java development experience using the Spring framework.
• Experience in building and utilising modern RESTful APIs.
• Ability to work within Agile development environments, especially Kanban, Scrum and Lean methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and focus on teamwork.
• Great problem-solving skills and troubleshooting mentality.
• Knowledge and experience of cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Experience with web and front-end application development.
• React experience would be an advantage.
• Experience with Redis, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL or similar data platforms.
