Job summary

ClearPoint is seeking experienced Senior Backend Engineers in Auckland or Wellington to join our delivery teams on client projects. You’ll design and build robust, scalable backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem, focusing on RESTful APIs and microservices in a hybrid work model.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automated testing, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes across AWS/Azure/GCP environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem including Boot, Security, Data and Cloud.
• Designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures with robust testing practices.
• CI/CD and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Nice to have frontend exposure (React/JS/TS) and AI tooling awareness.
