Mitre 10 Ponsonby in Auckland is seeking a senior inventory specialist to own stock availability and procurement decisions. This full-time role focuses on accuracy, forecasting, and supplier collaboration to drive store performance.

You will work with SAP and related systems, manage stocktakes, reconcile transactions, and support promotions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, stock control, procurement or similar analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with trend identification.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
• Understanding of stock receipting, inventory control and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory through the full procurement lifecycle using SAP and related systems.
• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and identify opportunities to improve stock availability and productivity.
• Partner with department managers to optimise ranging, inventory levels and purchasing decisions.
• Build supplier relationships to proactively manage stock availability and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage invoice reconciliation and ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately.
• Support promotional planning and ensure inventory commitments are met for key events.
• Lead and support stocktake activities and ongoing inventory control processes.
• Use data and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and make informed recommendations.
