Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join a fully remote team, helping design, implement, and maintain robust security systems across the enterprise. You will lead security operations and automate processes, ensuring protection of digital assets and scalable cloud configurations.

The role emphasizes incident response leadership and mentoring, with collaboration across distributed teams to embed Security by Design in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on information security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong network, cloud, and application security expertise.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; automation with Ansible/Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions (firewalls, IPS, EDR).
• Develop and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) configurations.
• Automate security workflows with Python, Bash, and IaC tools.
• Perform security assessments, scans, and pen tests with remediation.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Lead incident response for complex breaches and coordinate remediation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
