Placements24 in Queenstown seeks a Senior Information Security Consultant to advise clients on cybersecurity posture and lead security initiatives end-to-end.

You will conduct assessments, design security frameworks, and guide clients through complex challenges, working onsite with diverse organisations and delivering measurable security improvements. Strong expertise in multiple domains and relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in information security consulting or a similar client-facing security role.
• Proven expertise across network, cloud, and application security domains.
• Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security assessments including vulnerability assessments and risk analyses.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations to improve clients' security posture, policies and procedures.
• Design and architect security solutions for client needs across network, endpoint, and cloud security.
• Lead and manage security implementation projects within scope, timeline and budget.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to client teams on security best practices and threats.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and regulatory landscapes to provide cutting-edge advice.
