Kāinga Ora is seeking a Senior Housing Support Manager based in Northcote to work with customers and whānau who have higher and more complex housing and wellbeing needs, delivering sustainable housing outcomes and support.
You will mentor Housing Support Managers, collaborate with internal teams, iwi, community organisations and government agencies, and travel regionally to support customers in Kāinga Ora homes.
Support customers and whānau with complex housing and wellbeing needs. Use your expertise to mentor others and influence positive outcomes. Permanent opportunity based in Northcote with 5 weeks' annual leave + other benefits.
As a Senior Housing Support Manager, you'll work directly with customers and whānau who have higher and more complex support requirements, helping them achieve sustainable housing outcomes and greater wellbeing. Managing a smaller, more complex portfolio, you'll build trusted relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of their housing, health, social, and wellbeing needs. Using a strengths-based approach, you'll work alongside customers, whānau, and support networks to help achieve positive outcomes and sustain successful tenancies. This role is highly collaborative. You'll work closely with internal teams, community organisations, iwi, government agencies, and support providers to ensure customers receive the right support at the right time. You'll also play an important role in mentoring and supporting Housing Support Managers, sharing your expertise and helping build capability across the team. Based in Northcote, you'll regularly visit customers in their Kāinga Ora homes, attend stakeholder meetings, and travel throughout the local area to support customers and strengthen community partnerships. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives while contributing to stronger outcomes for our customers, whānau, and communities.
As a Kāinga Ora employee, we want to ensure you have the tools, support, and opportunities you need to thrive. You'll be part of a team that genuinely values wellbeing, development, and work‑life balance while making a meaningful difference for New Zealanders every day.
