Job summary

MB Century is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead major geothermal design and engineering initiatives at our Taupo/Wairakei base, with site visits locally and internationally. You’ll report to the Professional Services Manager and mentor junior engineers while driving tendering and project delivery.

The ideal candidate has extensive geothermal or process engineering experience, piping and design expertise, and a Washington Accord accredited degree (CPEng preferred).

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer with geothermal energy experience including maintenance, refurbishment and rehabilitation projects.
• Proven piping design and process design capabilities.
• Degree from a Washington Accord accredited program; CPEng is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead major geothermal design and engineering projects.
• Drive knowledge sharing and networking within the team.
• Act as technical advisor for refurbishment projects and contribute to tendering.
• Undertake geothermal and general engineering design, plant modifications, procurement and commissioning support.
• Utilise 3D scanning and laser alignment techniques; mentor the next generation of engineers.
• Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
