Job summary
Contact Energy in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead geothermal infrastructure projects, including steamfield pipelines and power station construction. You will ensure designs are robust, built safely, and delivered to schedule.
You will collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal teams across the full project lifecycle, managing technical risk, coordinating stakeholders, and solving complex engineering challenges to support Aotearoa's energy future.
Qualifications
- Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering complex engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction, design management or project delivery.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction work packages for geothermal developments.
- Support onsite delivery teams and manage technical risks.
- Coordinate contractors and consultants across project lifecycle.
- Ensure safety, quality and commissioning readiness.
- Provide engineering problem-solving and design oversight.
