Job summary

MB Century is seeking a Senior Manager - Engineering to lead our global engineering function and set strategic direction across geothermal, hydro, energy, industrial and infrastructure projects. You will report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership Team, driving technical governance and expanding engineering services into new markets.

You'll integrate NZ and international engineering teams, raise standards, and build a world-class organisation with pathways for engineers and designers,

Qualifications

• 15+ years engineering experience in heavy industry, hydro, geothermal, industrial, infrastructure or related sectors.
• 5+ years in leadership positions managing engineering teams, ideally multidisciplinary.
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Process, Civil or Electrical Engineering; CPEng status or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success leading engineering organisations across multiple locations or countries.
• Strong commercial and business development experience with governance frameworks and design systems.
• Proven ability to lead organisational change and business transformation.

Job description

MB Century is looking for a Senior Manager - Engineering to lead our global engineering function. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you'll set the strategic direction and technical governance of engineering across geothermal, hydro, energy, industrial and infrastructure projects, and grow our engineering services into new markets.

You'll have the mandate to integrate our New Zealand and international engineering teams, lift technical standards across the business, and take engineering into new revenue streams.

What You'll Do

• Act as custodian of engineering standards, technical quality and engineering assurance across the organisation.

About You

You're a highly credible engineering leader with:

• Minimum 15 years' engineering experience in heavy industry, hydro, geothermal, industrial, infrastructure or related sectors.

• At least 5 years in leadership positions managing engineering teams, ideally multidisciplinary.

• A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Process, Civil or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated success leading engineering organisations across multiple locations or countries.

• Strong commercial and business development experience, with a track record of implementing engineering governance frameworks and best-practice design systems.

• Proven ability to lead organisational change and business transformation.
