Job summary

Outside In is expanding its finance team in Auckland, NZ, seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead group accounting across NZ and AU entities and deliver timely, accurate reporting for growth.

You will own month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and tax compliance, working with the Finance Manager and Managing Director to drive continuous improvement, robust controls, and clear financial insight across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' senior accounting experience in multi-entity environments.
• Intercompany accounting experience; AU entity exposure preferred.
• Experience mentoring others and rolling up sleeves.
• Strong knowledge of NZ GST and tax compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience, especially Odoo.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly group consolidation across NZ and AU, including intercompany eliminations.
• Lead month-end close, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Own intercompany accounting, recharges and settlements.
• Deliver management accounts and supporting analysis.
• Coordinate tax returns and AU BAS, GST and other regulatory reporting.
• Drive process improvements and maintain documentation.
