Switched On Group, an iwi-owned organisation formed from NZ operations, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team. Based in Wellington or Christchurch, you will own month-end processes, maintain strong controls, and provide insightful financial information to stakeholders while collaborating with the broader business.

This role offers professional development and exposure to multi-entity reporting, GST/FBT, and statutory requirements, contributing to the ongoing

Qualifications

CA or CPA qualification is required.
Accounting or finance tertiary degree.
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and statutory reporting.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-entity month-end and year-end reporting.
Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations.
Support statutory reporting and audits.
Prepare GST, FBT, and manage IRD queries.
Maintain fixed asset registers.
Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations.
Monitor, analyse and report cashflow performance.
Provide timely financial information for stakeholders and support Board/Executive reporting.
Manage DFA reconciliations.
