Job summary

Switched On Group is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our high-performance Finance team. The role supports multi-entity reporting, statutory compliance and board reporting, with flexibility to be based in Wellington or Christchurch.

The successful candidate will own month-end processes, maintain strong controls and provide accurate financial insights in a collaborative environment that values professional development.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with accounting/finance tertiary qualification.
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting or chartered accounting.
• Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end reporting across multiple entities.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Support statutory reporting and audit requirements.
• Prepare GST, FBT and manage IRD queries.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor, analyse and report cashflow performance.
• Contribute to Board and Executive reporting.
• Manage DFA reconciliations.
