Job summary

KerNZ Build ltd in Christchurch seeks a Supervising Project Manager and Senior Façade Installer to lead commercial and residential facade projects across the South Island. You will oversee installers and subcontractors, ensure safety, quality, and budget compliance, and report to the Operations Manager/Director.

Ideal applicants will have construction management experience, site supervision skills, a strong safety background, and a current drivers license. Travel to site locations is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising construction projects, including фасade works.

KerNZ Build ltd - Christchurch, South Island

Supervising Project Manager and Senior Façade Installer for Commercial/Residential projects travelling to various locations in the South Island, installing architectural Facade Solutions. In accordance with Operations Manager and/or Director's instructions, organise and oversee all projects including Quality Assurance and Health & Safety protocol in a positive efficient and productive manner with pride, excellent workmanship and quality. Be responsible for managing the installers and subcontractors working on the project, ensuring all work is completed on time and budget and to the highest level of quality. Ensure that all installers are capable and able, identify needs/skill gaps and rectify either by training or feedback to the Operations Manager or Director.

Key responsibilities

Turn up to work at the correct time and be punctual at all times when arriving at work and on client jobs

Be well presented in regard to clothing and personal grooming at all times and wear the allocated Façade Plus attire as directed

Be polite, courteous and friendly at all times and refrain from bad language and excessive noise

Communicate clearly with all customers in terms of job commencement, work-in-progress matters and job completion. Also communicate clearly with colleagues and management on all relevant matters

Carry out all work as instructed by the Operation Manager and/or Director in the expected time frame

Ensure that your tools and those belonging to Facade Plus are kept maintained in good working order. Including all Machinery

Ensure the sites you are responsible for managing are safe at all times, according to H&S regulations and Facade Plus Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

Manage Installers working on projects in the most efficient way, ensuring work is completed on time and on budget with regular site visits to provide Quality Assurance of an impeccable standard

Upon completion of all jobs ensure the site/property is very clean and tidy, with all rubbish removed from site

Complete site precheck daily and weekly toolbox talk with install team, manage staff to ensure optimal labour utilization, schedule jobs with reference to completing project deadlines within time/budget, and ensure all equipment, supplies and machinery is on site ready for installation
