Newline Group Ltd in Christchurch operates across Canterbury, specializing in residential shower installations and project delivery. You will install acrylic and frameless showers, collaborate with our team and on-site contractors, and help ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
You will oversee contractors, enforce health and safety, and report to Project Managers with accurate daily logs and progress updates.
You will be installing showers alongside both the Newline team and our contractors to ensure timely and high-quality project completion. In addition to day-to-day installation duties, you will also be responsible for overseeing contractors, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining site safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will report to Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Newline Group’s high standards.
Installation of acrylic and frameless showers
Working alongside contractors to ensure high-quality and efficient installations.
Attend warranty jobs to provide technical guidance and carry out remedial work as required
Work alongside contractor + labourer operations onsite, providing clear instructions and support to ensure high performance.
Ensure all contractor site activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular Quality Assurance inspections to ensure all installations meet Newline Group’s quality standards
Report to the Project Manager on daily operations of installation sites, ensuring work is carried out according to project plans and schedules, and reporting any issues or delays promptly.
Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
Proven experience as an installer or in a similar role within the construction or home building industry (site manager experience is ideal but not necessary).
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices (particularly shower installation).
Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and contractors simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Health and Safety certification or relevant training.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.
Primarily on-site work around the Christchurch/Canterbury region. Potential travel to various locations across New Zealand to support install operations as required.
Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
