K &J Takeaways in Auckland is seeking a Permanent full-time Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, including food prep, takeaway orders and customer service. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $25–$35.

You will work with chefs, manage purchasing and stock, ensure food safety, recruit and supervise staff, and maintain cost controls while delivering high service standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification in Management, Hospitality, or related field.
• At least 2 years' hospitality or restaurant experience.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organise and manage daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, takeaway orders and customer service.
• Consult with chefs to plan menus and maintain food quality.
• Manage food purchasing, supplier arrangements, and budgeting.
• Monitor stock levels and control costs with accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
• Recruit, train, supervise and coordinate staff rostering.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage daily restaurant operations, including food preparation,
  takeaway orders and customer service.
• Consult with chefs and kitchen staff to plan menus, maintain food quality and ensure
  efficient food preparation.
• Manage food purchasing, supplier arrangements and pricing in accordance with the
  restaurant’s budget.
• Monitor stock levels, control food and operating costs, and maintain accurate inventoryand financial records.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Recruit, train, supervise and coordinate kitchen and service staff, including staff rosteringand performance management.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, handle enquiries and complaints, and maintain high
  service standards.
• Oversee takeaway order processing, food packaging and delivery coordination to ensure timely and accurate service.
