Placements24 seeks a Senior Event Catering Manager for Queenstown to lead high-end catering for weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations. You will oversee client consultations, menu design, and on-site execution.

The role requires 6+ years in catering management, strong leadership, and exceptional organisational skills. You will manage budgets, supervise staffing, ensure food safety, and build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in catering management or event planning.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and deliver exceptional results.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations, menu development and event logistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee catering events from concept to completion.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure vision is realized.
• Develop creative menus considering client preferences and dietary needs.
• Coordinate all event logistics including staffing, venue setup and equipment.
• Lead and develop catering staff, provide training and feedback.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Manage budgets, control costs and drive profitability.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure resources and maintain quality.
• Troubleshoot issues during events and resolve promptly.
• Conduct post-event debriefings and collect client feedback.
