Job summary

Genesis Energy in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to lead environmental management and contribute to policy and planning across our electricity generation assets. You’ll coordinate consent acquisition, compliance, and planning processes while fostering relationships with mana whenua, stakeholders, and local communities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in environmental/resource management, planning, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental management, consent acquisition, implementation, monitoring and compliance for Genesis Energy's assets.
• Guide environmental policy and planning processes, supporting effective application across current and future operations.
• Support relationships with mana whenua, stakeholders, and local communities.
• Manage consultants providing environmental, technical, legal, and planning services.
• Offer technical advice and leadership on planned works or environmental issues, including compliance requirements.
• Contribute to development of corporate environmental policies, strategies and reporting.
