Job summary

Genesis Energy in Hamilton, New Zealand, seeks an Environmental Manager for the North Island Renewables portfolio to lead the environmental programme across our renewables assets, ensuring environmental excellence and compliance.

You will manage consent processes, provide strategic guidance, and build strong relationships with mana whenua, regulators and communities while leading a team of environmental professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading environmental programmes and teams
• Strong knowledge of environmental planning and consent processes
• Ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, mana whenua and communities
• Experience in energy/infrastructure environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental programme across the North Island renewables assets
• Manage resource consent acquisition and compliance; provide strategic environmental advice
• Build and maintain relationships with mana whenua, regulators, and stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement of environmental systems and project delivery
