Job summary

Fusion5 in New Zealand is actively seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to lead technical delivery across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the Power Platform. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, from solution design and hands-on development through to integration, technical leadership, customer engagement, and ongoing support.

You’ll mentor consultants, shape the technical path forward, and own outcomes that matter.

Qualifications

• Deep technical capability across Dynamics 365 CE and Dataverse, including plugin assemblies, web resources, customisations, security, solution management.
• Strong Power Platform experience across model-driven apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Proven Microsoft development experience using .NET, C#, SQL, SSIS, SSRS and related integration patterns.
• Microsoft Azure experience, including App Service, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API integrations and secure cloud-based components.
• Experience applying sound engineering practices, including unit testing, peer review, source control, ALM, deployment pipelines and release governance.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure would be advantageous.
• Experience delivering in Agile or hybrid project environments, with ability to manage technical scope, risks, dependencies and delivery commitments.
• Strong troubleshooting capability, with the judgement to isolate issues, understand root cause, and recommend pragmatic fixes.
• Excellent documentation skills, including clear specification, design decisions, configuration notes, and support handover material.
• An AI transformation mindset, with curiosity and judgement to identify where Copilot, automation, data, and intelligent business applications can improve customer outcomes.
• A strong ownership mindset, with the drive to deliver customer value, call out risks early, support the team, and see complex work through to a successful outcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform solutions that are practical, scalable, and built to last.
• Run technical workshops with customers and project teams to bring structure, clarity, and direction to complex requirements, integrations, data models, and design decisions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy solutions with a strong focus on engineering quality, maintainability, and long-term supportability.
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with architects, functional consultants, developers, testers, and project managers to deliver large or technically demanding engagements.
• Communicate clearly with customers at all levels, call out risks early, and take accountability for technical recommendations, decisions, and outcomes.
