Job summary

BNZ is seeking a Senior Developer in Wellington to join the Technology team within the Lending Platforms domain. The role focuses on secured lending, building and modernising platforms, and integrating with banking systems in a hybrid arrangement with three office days and two flexible days.

You will design, develop and support features, while mentoring peers and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development and enterprise application support in complex environments (6–8+ years).
• Hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, and APIs; production support experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and support BAU activities, designing, coding and implementing functionality.
• Contribute to QA through code reviews and collaboration to uphold high coding standards.
• Provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving live environment issues.
• Mentor developers and testers, sharing knowledge and guidance to grow technical skills.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement, contributing ideas to team processes.
