Job summary

Bank of New Zealand is seeking a Platform Architect (Principal Engineer) to lead architecture and technical leadership across our Salesforce and nCino platform, with a hybrid model based in Wellington or Auckland. You will align technical decisions with programme objectives and drive secure, scalable solutions as BNZ undergoes a major technology transformation.

Qualifications

Strategic technical leadership across teams and platforms, guiding architecture and engineering practices.
Deep understanding of Salesforce and nCino platform architecture, resilience and security.
Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders.
Mentor engineering leads and engineers to uplift capability and maintain technical excellence.
Proven track record in software engineering practices, quality engineering and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across teams and value streams to guide architecture and engineering standards.
Collaborate with business, technology and vendor stakeholders to align technical decisions with objectives.
Lead resolution of complex technical and platform challenges using systems thinking.
Set standards for solutions with reliability, security, observability and quality.
Mentor and coach engineering leads and senior engineers to uplift capability.
