Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) in Auckland is seeking experienced Senior API Developers to join the Core Ledger Replacement program. You will lead the delivery of complex features and scalable technical solutions within an agile environment, balancing speed, quality, and strategic alignment.
As a senior member, you will provide technical mentorship, influence direction, and own large-scale platforms from design through deployment.

We’relooking forstrongengineering experience, with deepexpertiseinone or moreof thesetechnical domains(Java,Springboot,RestAPI’s).You’llbring a strongtrack recordof leading complex technical work across systems or teams, taking ownership of large-scale features or platforms from design through to deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
You’llbe a strategic problem solver who can make sound trade-offs in ambiguous environments, balancing technical decisions with business outcomes. Just as importantly,you’llbe a clear communicator and collaborative leader who builds trust across teams, supports an inclusive engineering culture, and helps grow others through coaching, mentoring, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
