Job summary

Auror is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to scale and govern our data platform, empowering analytics, AI, and product decisions. You’ll own data pipelines, collaborate with Eng, Platform Engineering, and AI teams, and raise the bar on reliability and governance.

You’ll build a high-performing team and drive strategic data initiatives across cloud platforms. You’ll partner across Data & AI, Product, and Platform to deliver scalable data products.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record building and operating modern cloud data platforms.
• Deep expertise in orchestration, transformation, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Dagster, DBT, Iceberg, Spanner, BigQuery, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and consumption models.
• Partner with software engineering to design data models for operational and analytical use.
• Own and evolve data infrastructure across Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Terraform.
• Drive improvements in data quality, observability, and reliability; reduce toil.
• Review high-risk designs and changes; ensure observability and rollback readiness.
• Manage lifecycle of data assets including metadata, logging, and access governance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team; drive career growth.
• Foster a learning culture with feedback, clarity, and accountability.
• Apply fair, transparent decision-making around pay, promotions, and role changes.
• Hire thoughtfully to build a skilled, inclusive team aligned to goals.
