Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics NZ is looking for a Customs Broker to join our team in November 2026. Manage end-to-end customs clearance, ensuring NZ Customs and MPI compliance, prepare declarations, and provide expert advice to customers and internal teams on customs requirements.

You will hold NZ Customs PIN certification with 5+ years’ experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding, expert knowledge of classification, valuation and duty optimisation, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• NZ Customs PIN certified with solid knowledge of NZ regulations.
• 5+ years’ experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding.
• Strong expertise in classification, valuation, and duty optimisation.
• High attention to detail with a compliance-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customs clearance, ensuring NZ Customs and MPI compliance.
• Prepare and sign accurate declarations (classification, valuation, duties).
• Provide expert advice to customers and internal teams on customs requirements.
• Liaise with border agencies to ensure timely shipment clearance.
• Resolve clearance issues and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support compliance activities and drive continuous improvement.
