Job summary

Hynds Limited in Blenheim is seeking a senior customer service professional to lead from the front and own how the branch runs. Based at our Blenheim branch, you’ll be the go-to for customers and the manager’s right hand, setting service standards and driving solution-selling.

This hands-on role covers sales, stock control, banking, invoicing, and mentoring. You’ll work with a team to keep the branch humming, handle forklift tasks, and build lasting customer relationships while showcasing

Qualifications

• Solid customer service and branch/trade experience.
• NZ Class 1 driver’s licence and forklift F endorsement – or willingness to obtain them.
• Comfort with numbers, invoicing, stock and accounts.
• Lead-by-example mindset with strong product knowledge.
• Ability to stay active and lift up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on customer service and solution-selling, setting the standard for the team.
• Provide operational cover for the Branch Manager when they’re off site.
• Look after customers – advice, quotes, orders and build long-term relationships.
• Yard and stock control – stocktakes, cycle counts, deliveries, forklift work and safety.
• Handling the numbers – invoicing, receipting, credits, daily banking, reconciliations.
• Mentor and help train newer team members.
• Be a product expert your customers and colleagues can rely on.
