Job summary

Thales in New Zealand seeks a Configuration Manager to lead the CM discipline across the program lifecycle. You will define work package scope during bids, manage baselines, and liaise with customers, partners and suppliers to ensure CM compliance.

Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management.
Knowledge of configuration Management standards & processes.
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and coordination skills.
Knowledge of the Systems Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Provide functional leadership of the configuration management discipline at the domain level.
Define scope of configuration management activities during the program bid phase.
Execute the work package manager role for configuration management work packages.
Interact with the customer to clarify configuration management requirements.
Manage baselines and customer CM requirements for the program/product line.
Create and maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
Support build-to-spec and design-to-spec practices across customers and suppliers.
Coordinate configuration management actions across departments and with program leadership.
