Job summary

The Audit Office in Wellington is seeking a permanent Senior Technical Lead, Cloud Platforms to lead design, security, and performance of our Microsoft cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID).

You will drive automation, infrastructure as code, and resilience, deliver complex platform changes, and provide senior technical leadership across internal teams and external partners in a hybrid environment, with security clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating enterprise cloud platforms.
• Strong background in security, identity management, and resilience.
• Ability to lead platform changes and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft cloud platforms.
• Strengthen secure-by-design foundations across Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
• Drive automation and CI/CD through infrastructure as code and engineering practices.
• Provide senior technical leadership and collaborate with teams and vendors.
