Job summary

Absolute IT is seeking a proactive Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a modern enterprise technology environment in Auckland. You will work across Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Windows Server to maintain performance, security, and reliability.

Reporting to the Infrastructure and Operations Manager, you will implement automation, security, and platform improvements while collaborating with security, operations and development teams to deliver reliable services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience supporting Azure cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
• Proven expertise across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Intune.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimise Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Support Windows Server infrastructure, backups, disaster recovery, and failover processes.
• Manage Intune-managed devices and Microsoft Defender security controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, system, and performance issues.
• Implement security best practices and maintain compliance standards.
• Automate routine operational tasks using PowerShell and other tooling.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Partner with security, operations, and development teams to deliver reliable technology services.
