Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects in the Eastern Cape. The role combines office-based design with on-site oversight and requires strong project leadership and client liaison capabilities.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in civil engineering, registered as a Pr.Eng with ECSA, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• At least 8 years' civil engineering experience with municipal/infrastructure focus.
• Experience in water, wastewater, and road design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure projects including water reticulation, sewer systems, roads, and stormwater.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations for hydraulic, structural, and geometric design aspects.
• Prepare design reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Oversee project execution ensuring compliance with standards, contracts, and approvals.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and construction supervision.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
