Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Construction Site Engineer to oversee daily on-site activities in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will ensure work aligns with designs, schedules, and budgets while enforcing safety standards and quality control across civil infrastructure projects.

The role requires a diploma/degree in civil engineering and at least 3 years in site supervision, with strong leadership abilities and proficiency in MS Office and project tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site supervision and management.
• Experience on civil infrastructure projects (roads, earthworks, pipelines).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is carried out according to design specifications and project schedules.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations on the construction site.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure all materials and workmanship meet required standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site labor to ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage site resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Identify and resolve technical and logistical issues that arise on site.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
